JerseyShoreDisneyDiva 113 Posted December 17, 2012 2 1/2 weeks post op and no restriction. I know that. I won't get a fill til mid January. I am fine with that, too. But I am curious....anything that I eat goes down no problem at all, even if I (occasionally) forget to take small bites or chew until it is paste-like. Is this normal? When I get a fill is it going to change?
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted December 17, 2012 Most likely, but you should still chew... you can get stuck if you over reach!
JerseyShoreDisneyDiva 113 Posted December 17, 2012 Most likely' date=' but you should still chew... you can get stuck if you over reach![/quote'] I do 99% of the time but I just got to soft foods this week and chewing is still a little foreign to me. FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted December 17, 2012 Sounds very normal.... And when you get a fill you most likely will notice a difference...if not the first one the next one . Chewing just has to be a way of life now 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
mcnishry 5 Posted December 17, 2012 I was banded dec 5th and I feel the same way, no restriction. I'm always scared the band might have slipped but I'm pretty sure it's paranoia. I'm loosing weight so I can't complain.

I think I put on a pound or 2 since I started food but I am not worried. I just won't get on the scale til I see him in January. I am doing what I'm supposed to do and just started getting exercise again. I have already come so far. 1 tattoomommy reacted to this

I knew this was to be expected, though. When you say 1/2, are you referring to a 1/2 cup of food at a time?
Marybell 22 Posted December 17, 2012 yes to 1/2 a cup per meal is what i was told to expect. 1 JerseyShoreDisneyDiva reacted to this
tattoomommy 37 Posted December 18, 2012 my diet consist of 1/2 cup up to 1 cup but i keep in under 3/4 just so i won't over due it. the nice thing is when i was only eating 1/2 cup, i was still hungry but just that little extra has helped keep me satisfied for 3-5 hrs.... now to just keep myself on track with exercise.... i also noticed what i eat makes a difference in how long I'm satisfied.... SueBee01 630 Posted December 18, 2012 Don't try for full, look to be satisfied. That is also why it is important to be selective with what you eat. A lot of the mind game is being satisfied. 1 tattoomommy reacted to this
