Great WLS cookbook

Recommended Posts

Not sure if everyone already know this - but I bought a great book before my banding and I have had several recipes so far, so I wanted to share for those of you looking for ideas on recipes and such. THe name of the book is "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" by Patti Levine. It was written by a lady who had WLS several years ago along with a nutritionist and I think a cook. I got it on Amazon and have loved it!

I have that too! It is very well done, but I mostly modify my own recipees now. But it would be very good for the non-cooks on the forum.

I have that book also. What have you made out of it? I haven't made anything yet. The scallops on the front look yummy.

I have made the broccoil/cheese gratin which is delish and re-heats very well, the chicken/ricotta giandernera (SO good), the scallops with white wine and garlic, the braised pork tenderloin. They were all really good and very healthy. I enter my food on myfitnesspal.com and I found the calculations in the book to be very accurate when I manually built recipes on myfitnesspal. Great book!

I've just bought this off of eBay along with weight loss surgery cookbook for dummies. There are some great recipes in them x

I have the Wls for dummies & have gotten several recipes from the other. I strongly recommend you get them (if available) from your library first. If it looks like a keep for you, then invest in a copy for yourself. If you only find a couple of recipes just copy/write them down & save your money.

Oh wow. Sorry to hear that. Dont know what I'd do without mine. Ebay, half.com, etc can usually produce great results.
