Wow, Chez that is horrible. Truly, if I don't like someone's reply or something they post, I move on to another one. Kind of like Alex said earlier....You have helped me on many ocassions and always given me straightforward advice and for that I am grateful. So sorry someone could be so hateful.

We are not going to agree on everything we read here on this forum. We must keep thick skin at all times. The Sticks n Stones comes to mind. You have a choice to turn them to admin or block them from your site.

Ignore the harsh, mean and nasty. Savor the compliments, success and the good health comments.

Best wishes

I'd like to tell you to forget what that person said, but I've been cyber-stalked for almost 5 years by a sick person I met on a WLS support site and I'm not able to easily shake that kind of thing off. It's scary. I guess my best advice for you is to use the block feature and remember that you are well loved and well respected by many members of LBT.

I agree you have never been mean only upfront. If people dont want the truth and want to be enabled then they need to join overeaters anonymous. To those who think you have the right to curse at people in an email you are just a coward. If you do not like what people say or think we ar mean then block us and you will never have to read what any of us write again. On the other hand when you get no help or guidance it will only be your own fault. I dont enable people who do the wrong things. Sorry Grammy ignorance is bliss as they say and psychotic folks need to go to Iraq and get their anger adjusted.

CHEZNOEL- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR ADVICE AND HELP!!! My advice for that aweful person that posted... if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. I take alot of bull at my job and i get alot of constructive criticizm. Its hard to take, but in the end... it ultimatley makes us better. So, here is the polite response: "Thank you for correcting me and making me better." I find that when i hear something i dont like, im fired up... only to reflect and get the moral of the story. Some times what we need to hear isn't what we want to hear. BUT its just as hard to dish it as it is to receive it.

Someone on these forums are posting messages like that????

Are they frequent members?? INSANE!!!!

Over time, I have received PM's that were obviosly SPAM of some sort,,,usuallly sexual in nature, but the giveaway is that the person sending it to me has joined that day and has only posted that one time....

I would definitley forward it to alex....violates forum rules....

If anyone is interested, if you do not like someone's opinions, you can block them and leave it at that...instead of getting frustrated, you simply do not see their posts....at all....

I'm not ashamed to say it, but over the years I have blocked one or 2 people....

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
