Maybe that's a typo? 14cc bands are the biggest they make (that I'm aware of)

The green zone means you're satisfied on much less food for longer periods of time. To be more specific, you can go at least 4 hours without hunger after eating a cup or less of food.< /p>

Hi there. You know you are too tight when eating hurts, you cannot eat, you cannot keep liquids down or have bad reflux with any of those symptoms. Trust me, you will know if you are. :)

No it shouldn't hurt. Take tiny bites, chew it all up until its almost gone & then wait a minute before having another one. If it is still hurting after a couple of days after a fill give your doctor a call. Dont leave it too long. Do liquids hurt?

not so easy to get to tight specially in the beginning so focus on the size of bite, how long you chew and what u r eating. something that went down just fine yesterday might not today.the average green zon is just a little over half the size of your band so use that as a gage not for everyone of course but most. I have a 100cc band and 6.5 cc and it feels so good as long as I follow the rules...good luck

Line dancer I think I'm going to have to retrain my brain on the bites I took I'm the worlds worse about taking big bites

Big bites and eating too fast have been the cause of the times I've felt so uncomfortable I needed to throw up.

I've found it's often when I'm in a rush say between meetings at work, distracted talking with others at dinner or being out with other and seem to eat at the same pace they do that I'll take too bigger bites or eat too fast.

I've really had to make a conscious effort to have the time to sit down and eat my meal. If I can't do that, I tend to go back to a Liquid Protein shake that I can consume in a short period of time.

I've also found chewing food until its a paste that I can move around my mouth first before swallowing slows down my eating and ensures no lumps are swallowed. Also can't eat really hot temperature food any more, was rather surprised to discover I never really chewed it well given it was so hot in my mouth.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
