K@t 38 Posted April 9, 2006 And K@t, I hope you don't really think you're eating your LAST bowl of ice cream! Being banded doesn't mean completely giving up everything delicious or unhealthy. In my experience, trying to rule out anything just makes me miserable for the wanting of it. Small portions and moderations, that's the bandster way! hehe, I know, I'm just trying to make myself get use to the idea that I have to stop with this stuff. If I tell myself, its ok to have a little, I'll have a little here, and a little there, and before I know it I've had A LOT! So it's easier for me to say, you can't have any right now, and then when I have made some progress I will tell myself, your doing good, have a little treat....and then go back to you can't have it any more. I know it sounds silly but it's the best I can do to make myself stop eating things I know I shouldn't.
chabutter 0 Posted April 10, 2006 holy moley! 32 pounds in a week of Water. Would you say your diet was very high in sodium before being banded?
Kelliebelly 13 Posted April 10, 2006 I started at pretty much the same weight as you and had trouble getting to a fill amount with good restrictio. 9 fills and about 5 mths out I was on my way. I have lost slowly and sporadically but when I look at the big picture it ended up being 70lbs just on my 1 yr anniversary last week. It could have been more if I stopped chocolate but...well there is no but
