Feeling a little disapointed

Recommended Posts

Had a fill today in London, spoke to dietition, not seen my surgeon since the day I was banded 1st Oct. I now have fill 6.5mls in a 10ml band, I thought I was doing good but, apparently not, started at 13.stone now 11stone 4lbs, tried to make good food choices, I have been afraid to eat bread Pasta rice, my dietion says I must, I always thought they were the evil one, so avoid them, also no Salad Dressing this helps food slip, and to stop my whey protien drink, I felt so down hearted, as I thought I was doing so well, pain in port fed up gone to bed.....

Any weight loss is a victory. I'm sorry your dietitian can't see that. Please try not to let her discourage you. You ARE doing good.

As far as carbs, contrary to popular belief, they're not the enemy. Some people do great on low carb diets, others (like me) lose just fine while eating carbs regularly. The trick is to make smart carb choices, like whole grain breads and Pasta rather than bleached white products. Don't be afraid to experiment with your diet to find what works best for you.

You're doing great- don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Please hang in there you are new to the band. Changes will come in time I know this. I honestly stay away from rice, I do eat a tiny bit of Pasta, not much bread. Some foods really irritate my stomach/band so you eventually learn what works...can be temperamental at times.
