diane1964 1 Posted December 13, 2012 Only have my lapband since October 4th, 2012. I need a Hemorrhoidectomy/ fissure repair. My anesthesia option are local w/ sedation or general. I really don't want to be awake but I am afraid with general they will take my Fluid out b4 surgery. I will have 2 fills in my band by surgery. Has anyone had this surgery under only a local. I don't know what to decide. Any info to help me make my decision would be great. Thanks
skuzzie 23 Posted December 13, 2012 Just let your aneathist no. I would prefer to be out to it!!! And your surgeon is aware so you should be fine with a general afterall hes not operating directly on your stomach or were the band is. You could always ring your doc to ask for advice

diane1964 1 Posted December 14, 2012 Agreed.... put me out! Thanks for the replies. I am going to ask for general anesthesia. I am so afraid they won't give me enough local and I will be awake feeling everything. Thanks for helping me decide what to do.
