dreamers 27 Posted December 12, 2012 How was everyones experience with stomach bloat? I'm 2 days post op and find that very mild house tidying / organizing etc is helping me a lot with the gas. But i can see that my stomach still looks much bigger than usual cos of the swelling from gas and also from incisions. I know they say 4-6 weeks healing time, i'm just curious how everyone went with that. Thanks in advance
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted December 12, 2012 That was the hardest part for me, but I like you kept busy doing things and it did pass quickly. Every day gets better &better. Hang in there! Congratulations on being on the banded side! 2 dreamers and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Thanks in advance[/quote'] The bloat in the upper part of the abdomen went away in about a week. I don't know if that is typical or not but I will say I did walk (albeit slowly) a lot. Be careful with the housework because that often requires bending which I do not recommend. But glad to see you are up and moving around so well. Good luck. 1 dreamers reacted to this

Glad to hear the bloat goes away after a week, i have to meet some people soon for an outing and wouldn't mind not wearing stretchy pants... But there is no way i'm going to force myself into constricting pants at this stage... i feel terribly bloated and stil getting my head around the whole port thing! CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted December 12, 2012 You will be healing for at least 6-8 weeks. Don't rush things and you will be fine. It is major surgery, so expect some ongoing issues as your body heals. 1 dreamers reacted to this
