**IP~LB** 279 Posted December 10, 2012 Dec 4 I just had my lapband. I was crossfitting 6 months ago and kept getting injured. I am anxious to get started but don't want to start too soon and mess up my band. I also had hiatal hernia surgery they found when they went in. Any help would be great! SueBee01 630 Posted December 10, 2012 Ask your dr. Mine said no strenuous exercise for six weeks. You need your body to heal. 1 **IP~LB** reacted to this
bandnewday 5 Posted December 10, 2012 Hey there. I just had a hiatal hernia repair and band replacement. I'm looking at 6 weeks before I can kick my activity back up beyond walking. The best thing you can do is consult your surgeon. Only he knows what kind of intricate handiwork went on during surgery. As much as I want to get on the incline trainer or do some low impact zumba, I am going to resist and make sure I am fully healed before risking injury or stress. It's a bummer but a small price to pay for a healthy band in the end. good luck to you.
honk 780 Posted December 10, 2012 Speak to your doctor. I was at the gym day 4 on the treadmill 0 incline, day 11 the elliptical, 14 back swimming. Though I was working out prep so it wasn't a shock to my system.
