dreamers 27 Posted December 9, 2012 I am getting banded tomorrow! I can't believe it's here... Although nervous about the unpleasantries of surgery, I am ready for the first day of my new life. I did a little alarmed though when the nurse told me bring loose pants cos i will be huge and puffy from the air they use to pump you up during surgery.... Is it that bad? I understand that is why you get gas pain etc, but will I be waking around like michelin man? It's hard enough being large without them making you larger haha. Anyone got any advice on what to expect in that sense? How long until you deflate? I have a heat pad and Gas X ready for gas pain. 1 **IP~LB** reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted December 9, 2012 Not quite Michelin man, but elastic waist would be in order. 2 dreamers and UntamedR reacted to this
Mini coop 2 Posted December 9, 2012 I was just banded on dec 6th. I was able to wear the same clothes home that I came in with. I feel bloated more above my waist than below. Hope this helps 2 kazjim98 and UntamedR reacted to this

Stephleupagus 35 Posted December 21, 2012 I was banded tuesday. I would say that clothing didn't matter, I came home in the same comfy stuff I wore there. The gas is more painful than puffy, if that makes sense? 1 UntamedR reacted to this
naturallyjai 129 Posted December 21, 2012 I was banded yesterday and I wore some comfy, elastic waist pants. I was glad I wore them. I felt bigger after the procedure.
SkinnyCubanChick 150 Posted December 21, 2012 I was banded last Friday and used the same clothing I wore to the hospital! The only pain I've had is gas pain, but I walked day and night in the hospital, took 2 gas x twice a day, and peppermint tea which really helped. At home, a heating pad works to relive gas! Don't worry, you'll be fine! God bless and good luck! 1 UntamedR reacted to this
UntamedR 25 Posted December 22, 2012 I was banded on wednesday & wore a loose comfy shirt and a pair of sweats that were slightly too baggy. I didnt feel any different afterwards, just groggy. but my clothes were already uber roomy to begin with. I suggest someone wear something stretchy/roomy & comfy, just not tight or belted.
