Georgia_Peach 32 Posted December 9, 2012 Hi my name is Jessica. I am still awaiting insurance approval but if all goes well i will be banded in January. I am so excited but so nervous as well. I am 220lbs and i am hoping to get down to 130lbs. I have a 17 month old son and I want to reverse this hypertension and live to see him grow up. Any advice would be great! After getting the band is it like a constant struggle and war between your head and stomach? I am a bored eater and don't have very good Portion Control. It doesn't help that my husband is so skinny and can eat whatever he wants which makes temptation pretty hard for me. I hope this is the right choice for me Sent from my DROID4 using LapBandTalk Sent from my DROID4 using LapBandTalk
2013bandgirl 4 Posted December 9, 2012 I am hoping to be banded in January, pending insurance approval. I have 2 children and I want to feel better for them and be here for them. I'm nervous about the surgery and everything after and also the food/eating aspect but I'm very excited to begin on the journey. I'm really hoping for approval but due to an insurance switch, I can't submit to company until new policy is in place after the first of the year. Good luck to all the January bandsters! gowalking 10,790 Posted December 31, 2012 I'm getting banded on January 14th. I have very bad arthritis in my right knee and can't walk very well anymore. If I don't lose weight, I won't be able to walk at all pretty soon and that's scarier than any surgery. I'm 54 and have grown children and one grandaughter and I can't even play with her anymore because I'm so limited physically. I'm not 90 but I feel like I am at times. My sister and I made a pact....once I can walk well again, we are going to Paris on vacation. I am doing this to get my quality of life back. I used to walk all the time..and living in NYC, there was nothing better than exploring all those little side streets, and the wonders they held. I want to do that again and am hoping this lap-band will enable me to do so.

minxymonsta 4 Posted January 9, 2013 I'm banded!! I've been home for about 4 hours and slept. I have sharp pain in my shoulder and my tummy wounds don't allow me to stand up straight just yet but the most pain is my throat. I'm taking buttermenthols and honey tea to help. Haven't felt hungry yet. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk 1 LapBandit2013 reacted to this
