kyrasgrandma 228 Posted December 8, 2012 I read about people saying their fill take a few days to kick in. Why is this? I had a fill yesterday and was wondering what if anything I should feel.
wildrose1966 396 Posted December 8, 2012 I have had 2 fills and have felt nothing, might take a few more for me.
line-dancer 810 Posted December 8, 2012 it more about timing...if you can go 4-5 hours between meals the band is tight enough to tell your brain you are still full. if you get hungry b4 that then you need more in the band.
hely88 883 Posted December 8, 2012 You are supposed to feel satisfied between meals not full. If you feel full you have eaten too much.
honk 780 Posted December 8, 2012 My nurses told me that the reason why it can take a couple days for you to feel anything from a fill is it is Fluid moving around in the band. fluids flow basically. If this is your first feel however you may not actually feel anything. It took me 6 months to get restriction.
2012 359 Posted December 8, 2012 I don't know the "why", but I do know with my last fill it took a few days before it kicked in for me.
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted December 8, 2012 Everyone is different, some feel the fill right away. If it is an early fill, it make take a few to get good restriction

dj112 21 Posted December 13, 2012 I had my first fill on my third doctor's appointment. I had 1 cc put in my band at surgery and my dr put 3 cc in. I do not feel a difference at all. I expected to feel a difference and be tighter going from 1 cc to 4 cc. I don't know what restriction feels like. I just eat small portions to feel satisfied. If I get full I know I've eaten too much. I hate that feeling its painful so I avoid overeating.
hely88 883 Posted December 14, 2012 I think a lot of people expect something specific and maybeits not the right expectation to begin with"
