Where do you get the nectar from? Online only?

I bought mine at a local supplement store, but it's not a chain.

I tried a lot of shakes out there and Premier Protein chocolate flavor from SAMs club is the only one that I liked. It tastes just like chocolate milk. I am still having 2-3 a day as I am not a bug near fan. Each shake has 30 grams Protein and 5 grams carbs.

I shoul have mentioned that they are only 18.88 for a 12 pack which is around $1.57 a shake. I have been in able to buy a prepaid shake for this much.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I tasted a bunch of these choices but ultimately I found one that FINALLY tasted good. GNC lean blended with ice.

Cookies and cream was delicious and I am looking forward to trying peppermint mocha tomorrow. It's a little higher in calories and carbs than Bariatric Advantage but I'll happily drink 3 of these per day instead of 4 of the other. I could barely get down 1-2 shakes per day.

Finishing up Day 3 of my Pre-Op Diet (11 more to go until surgery!)

My doctor's pre-op diet guidance is

[*]1 low-carb yogurt (I've been having fage 0% with a packet of truvia)

[*]1 cup of skim milk

[*]4 Protein shakes / day (1 of which I can have with sugar free pudding)

[*]Unlimited calorie free drinks + sugar free Jello + popsicles

[*]No caffeine' date=' carbonation

Caffeine headaches have finally subsided and I am rocking caffeine free living.

Unfortunately I hate my Protein Shakes. Hate them. Bariatric Advantage high Protein. Vomit. I feel like I've tried everything including mixing with pudding and nothing works.

I'm thinking about picking up a store brand shake (allowed as long as it has 20+ grams of protein, limited carbs and <150 calories) Any suggestions? I'm dying over here.[/quote']

Hi I just got banded on the 26 of November 2012. The best shake that works for me is the shakes you buy from True Results. They are good in flavor and good with the amount of weight the Dr wants you to use. It come with the drinking cup that you are taught to sip and not swallow. I was not banded by True Results! But I still go purchase there Protein Shake mix. It comes in different flavors.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
