Band Hardware Malfunction

I was banded June 2009. In December 2011, it was discovered there was a problem. The tubing had disconnected from the port. In October 2012, I underwent surgery and had a replacement port put in. My surgeon straight out told me it was a hardware malfunction. My insurance covered quite a bit, but I am still left paying $2500-3000 out of pocket. Has anyone else had this issue and did the lap band maker cover any out of pocket expenses?

Yes, this exact thing happened to me. I have Tricare which is a wonderful insurance. I didn't have to pay a thing. Good luck to you.
