Starting To Get Really Nervous

I'm meeting with the surgeon on Wednesday and will set a surgery date. I'm hoping for December 13. But I'm starting to get really nervous. Not about the surgery, but about the impact on the rest of my life. Any advice?

I just got banded on Friday the 30th. It's a big step! A huge life change! But if you continue to read what everybody says and does on this forum, you'll learn so much and realize its a great decision! It's hard, and I was scared, but I'm so excited to just get over the pain of being overweight my whole life!!

What are your concerns?

Life will not change as much as how you interact with food will. Then you will be so happy because of all the awesome things you accomplish. You will believe in yourself again, you will have a special new pep in your step!

You will look back and say, " what was I so worried about"?
