All Water. All the time. Spruced up water with crystal light and propel packets. What does your doc allow?

I lived off of Water and gatorade during these times. The gatorade helps replenish any loss of electrolites and has adequate potassium in it. You can even dilute gatorade with your water (i did that) . Water you can mix with anything if you can't tolerate it, I would drop slices of oranges, lemons , or limes in mine to spruce it up. However, I love water so I don't mind it plain at all.

Sounds like you're doing good then! Maybe try switching up crystal light flavors for variety? My liquids had to be sugar and carbonation free during pre-op. I wasn't too fond of drinking broth, but I did a few times, beef & chicken. Are you allowed sugar free popsicles? Or sugar free Jello. These Snacks helped me a little bit. Hang in there!

I misread your information i thought it said "post op" sorry.. Yes, if you are on a strict liquid diet you have to stick with that as provided by your surgeons/NUT instructions......

No pudding for me. But again, check with your surgeon. All docs have different plans for their patients. These forums are good to get a ball park idea, but the final word should come from your doc. Better safe than sorry, right?

You may want to try this Soup I found on Amazon.com called ProtiDiet creamy chicken. It has 70 calories and 15 grams of Protein and you mix with hot Water. I am on liquids to and needed something other than sweet. It hits the spot and because you are eating with a spoon makes you feel like you are eating a meal :) l can't wait until the mushy phase.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
