Hungry Always

Recommended Posts

I got banded in 2007 and only when I'm overly restricted and Water can't go down do I NOT feel hungry. I'm hungry all the time! I got anther fill last week, @4cc, and was doing great until the weekend. I'm tired of this battle that I keep loosing. I know I'm supposed to follow the guidelines, lots of Protein, low carb, Lots of water, and excersise. Trust me when I say "been there, done that" but I can't perminantly live without breaking my diet. I'm human! It seems like when I stop excersising, my body goes into emergency "get her fat" mode. is anyone else failing at this like I am?

Me too - I'm always hungry. I exercise 4 to 5 times a week and try to eat like I'm told too. It doesn't seem to work. Really frustrated cuz I thought this would be the tool to help me, but I regret getting it done. IT has been 2 years and down only 30 pounds. Haven't been back to the Dr cuz I'm afraid he will yell at me. I have heard my whole life, if you try to have some will power, you will lose weight. I have the will but when you are starved, you have no power!

Suggestions please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It means guys your stomach is diegesting the food with more then normal time so that why you feel hunger after some time. Well try to eat low calories food and eat those things which have more energy and protien. Like the milk, veggies, meat, or things like that. So I think its not a big issue.

You sound so discouraged! It's so hard to keep going when you aren't losing! I've seen it over & over on this site where people lose 30-50 lbs in the 1st year without too much effort, then they stop losing & struggle & give up. Are you on my fitness pal? Try logging your food- you may be surprised at how many calories you are eating. Also get enough Protein - at least 60-80 grams. Drink water! Try for 1 week to follow the plan. If you do you'll lose 1-2 lbs. which is normal. Good luck! :-)

It can be because you eat very fast. Try to eat in small morsels and eat slowly. Take at least 20 minutes to finish your meal, because that is the time taken for your stomach to signal your brain that it is full. On top of that don't drink Water or any fluids with your meal. They cause digestive problems. fruit remain in your stomach for about 30 mins, and food high in Protein stays for about 4 hours, so your stomach can't go rumbling in that time. Drinking water might cause problems during this process, as water quickly passes to the intestines. Follow these steps, and you might solve your hunger problem.

Before I was banded my blood sugar was out of whack and one of the symptoms was hunger right after eating. Maybe you should have your blood sugar checked. In my case it was dropping out.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
