Umm, I might take a pregnancy test if there are chances you could be pregnant?

I am also very regular and I had surgery on the 16th and had my regular cycle start on the 18th. There wasn't anything abnormal about mine, but everyone's body is different :-)

Weight loss causes lots of screwy cycles. I would test, but it is most likely your body adjusting

This is what I was told when mine got super heavy & longer. Far cells contain estrogen. When you burn far, the estrogen is bring released into your body. Fluctuating hormones can cause all kinds of problems. I ended up having a hysterectomy, but that was only after other treatments didn't work. You may want to take a pregnancy test to confirm you are not prego just to be safe. I wouldn't stress over it too much since you are only a couple weeks post op. Good Luck with everything!

I'm 5 months out from surgery and had some very odd cycles. Keeping up the Iron supplements have been key for me.

Could be anything from the process. I'm religiously on schedule with my cycle and mine started 2 days early. The day before surgery :-( I think it was due to diet & rapid weight loss. (I lost 13 lbs in pre op diet)

I have taken 4 pregnancy tests and all came back negative. that's when i started looking into things and i found this app. i wasn't sure what was going on but found other people had altered cycles so i am not as worried now.. Thank you for the help!! :-) i am about to get my first fill so really wanted to make sure i was't pregnant first or just from the surgery messing things up.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
