Marybell 22 Posted December 1, 2012 ive had this cough and stuffy nose since thanksgiving. So a week now. Ive been taking dayquil and night quil to keep it at bay. and some days are better then most. I drink a gallon of Water a day and take a multivitiman, ( but working in the public u get sick anyways ) . My question is, should i try and get a nose of antibodics to kick this in the butt? I have surgery in 6 days. My other concern is if i get the antibodics wont they give me some via iv in the hospital? I do not want itchy-coochie-syndrome. destynee1 417 Posted December 1, 2012 Hey hun.. I to was just getting over a cold/cough when I had my surgery.. I let them know.. I couldn't shake my cough,, and was worried that after I had the surgery I might catch pneumonia.. they proceeded with the surgery. Also had it when I took my blood work, and I was a bit worried.. but everything turned out well. I would call your surgeons office and ask them what to they suggest.. hely88 883 Posted December 1, 2012 This is really not a question for the forum. You really should call your doctor as soon as possible and ask what they suggest. Hope you feel better soon.
