kyrasgrandma 228 Posted December 1, 2012 My dr. told me I could use the treadmill and the eliptical as soon as I wanted but no core exercises or crunches for six weeks. I went back to the gym on Tueday and absolutely loved it! Had a session with my personal trainer.
wildrose1966 396 Posted December 1, 2012 I was 6 weeks. so for 6 weeks, I put my headphones on and walked. I felt fantastic at my 1 week post op appointment and asked about the gym, I could have gone. It was explained to me that internally I am steal healing and there are stitiches holding everything in place. If I take the chance and start at the gym there would be a chance I could pop a stitch...........just those words, pop a stitch were good enough for me to keep walking for 6 weeks. tazvonnieb 5 Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks for all the advice. I have spoken to the nurse today who has advised me not to go to gym for 6 weeks so my body can have time to heal so I will just have to have some patience
