On The Road Toward Lap Band

Hello! I am new here. I'm going to a seminar tomorrow about lap band but I was wondering if any of you got banded without having any medical problems and your bmi not being 35. Mine is 34.8 and I don't have any medical problems. But I think that's ridiculous you have to have a problem to get it. I trying to prevent it!! Has anyone had this problem and found a doctor to do it? I will obviously be paying out of pocket I doubt insurance will cover it.

I think you have to have problems for insurance to pay for it. I believe you can do it without any medical problems. I saw people on here waying less than 190 and got the band. So you may be ok. You'll know for sure tomorrow!
