honk 780 Posted November 30, 2012 NSAIDs such as ibuprofen can harm your stomach lining esp. our pouch. Yes stay away stick to tylenol(acetaminophen).

bchooks 5 Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks guys! You were helpful! I will be meeting with my surgeon next week about this. Now after hearing you all talk about the Nsaid drugs I am on celebrex which is another Nsaid drug and I can't imagine life without it due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. Starshine33 38 Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks guys! You were helpful! I will be meeting with my surgeon next week about this. Now after hearing you all talk about the Nsaid drugs I am on celebrex which is another Nsaid drug and I can't imagine life without it due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have RA as well and my doc said they haven't don't any studies on NSAID drugs, that's why they don't want you to take them. However he has been doing lap band over 10 years and has seen no problems with them and said I could take my Etodolac. I'm still going to talk to my RA doc to see if there is any thing else I can take to make me feel more comfortable. My doc has had lap band himself for 10 years.
