zinhaa 363 Posted November 30, 2012 Do you have high blood pressure, sleep apnea? Those will help qualify. Go to a seminar and ask. iam not sure what your insurance qualifications are. wendt
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted November 30, 2012 Best thing to do is call or email your insurance company and ask them. That's what I did and they sent a whole list of things I needed to do and have to qualify. Every Ins. is different. I have Aetna and Arthritis was not considered a co-mobility . Asthma was It was B/P, Cholesterol , sleep apnea & asthma. If your BMI was below 40, you have to have two, over 40 none, but like I said that's Aetna. Your BMI 36.3 Good luck! KassieRose 60 Posted December 1, 2012 Your BMI alone isn't quite enough, but I would say with the other stuff added you should. I started at 5'9 and 350 pounds, so I qualified on that alone and I had no health issues. Good luck!
A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted December 1, 2012 As Maddysgram mentioned, I would call your insurance and they can provide the information to you of what they require to qualify. I believe arthritis may be one of the comorbities they look for if your bmi isn't high enough. Typically, they look for 2 comorbidities. Calculate your bmi so you know where you are.
