Doctor Supervised Diets

Can anyone give a list of doctor supervised diets that are insurance acceptable? I did Ideal Protein but am unsure if it qualifies. Any advice would be great.

Is this for a pre op diet? How long are you supposed to be on it? Didn't your dr provide you fwith a list?

I see...well if it's supposed to be medically supervised I wonder why the dr didnt give you something to follow.

My insurance company accepted my time with Weight Watchers as an approved diet that counted towards my requirements. You have to be an on-site member who goes to meetings though, not online.

I just started my supervised diet today. I don't have to have any program, I just have to go check in once a month for three months. She says that it's not about losing weight, it's about showing that you are committed and willing to make life style changes. Just setting goals and making them. Like my goals for this month are to eat more Protein in the morning for Breakfast and to start working out/swimming once a week for 30 minutes. You might not have to join a group or do a specific diet, you might just have to talk to a nutritionist. I would call your insurance and ask.
