Jillyb 0 Posted April 6, 2006 Is fish a good food to have during the mushy phase?..... it seems like it would be.... anybody know?
Val 0 Posted April 6, 2006 I am able to eat some fish with no problem at all. I am fine with Red Snapper but choke on salmon.
angiebell 0 Posted April 6, 2006 I wouldn't call fish mushy. That is considered a solid.
Sunta 5 Posted April 6, 2006 I was allowed to eat tuna salad during my mushy phase and regular fish during my "soft solid" phase.
Elisabethsew 50 Posted April 6, 2006 I just checked my plan and on post-op week 3, I can have soft foods. It lists tuna salad and soft fishes such as filet, tillapia and flounder and states to avoid salmon, shrimp, swordfish, etc. I hope that helps. I could live on fish and can't wait to get to the soft foods stage.
niki 1 Posted April 7, 2006 I love fish but only got it on the soft food stage (just to bet on the safe side...) but I guess it is OK as long as you chew really very well in your mouth before swallowing it. niki
HeatherGurl 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Fish was on my Dr.'s Mushie stage. I consider it a mushie.
niki 1 Posted April 11, 2006 I believe that if we chew, and chew, and chew it really WELL , in the end no matter what we eat will be turned into something «soft» and mushy stuff, therefore it's OK. It has been 15 months I have been banded, but on every meal I still have to focus on this slow chewing process... niki
