Made My 1St Goal Yay!

Recommended Posts

I am sooo happy and excited to make my first goal and to reach it in the time I had placed. 30lbs gone!! woooo ! I have been so frustrated because I had been stalled for a bout 3weeks.. and this last 1.5 lbs got me there finally. lol.. **happy dance** I have my 1st fill tomorrow, I don't have any Fluid in my band as of yet so I will be so happy to feel any difference. So far, I haven't been to hungry, and when I eat my meal of a cup to a cup and half I stay satisfied for about 3hrs. Maybe a little less.

I love my fitness pal and it has kept me on track and so have you all. Thank you all so much for your continued support, advise, and kicks in the arse! I appreciate it all. I have not been perfect but boy am I trying.. and like CG said it, you have to believe in yourself.. I sure as hell do!! :

Love you all!

I got 2cc's in my band now.. and I drank the Water fine, as I drink my Protein shake, I do feel a difference. Oh man.. she tried to find the port, well she found it but took awhile to get the needle in place.. ya that hurt, she had me do a crunch and hold.. Ouuuch... she did said that would be the worse of it as the next time it will be so much easier.

Saw the nutritionist today at my primary care office, and well, seems sorta expensive. I have insurance.. but she doesn't qualify for it since she is not a "licensed" Nut, only certified. I like her a lot, very caring.. she wouldn't give me any real info though until I make a decision to buy the package. She suggested I go on the HCG. 350. for the first month and 100.00 a month following up on her visits Is that a normal price? I have never been to a Nut before and not sure if that is a bit pricey or I should keep looking. She has written a book, and has appeared on good morning america and on the cover of people's magazine...her name is Camille Tirzah. Maybe that is why It seems pricey. I didn't know this, just called my primary care for an appt with a Nut. SHe has lost 100lbs herself and seems very sincere. What do you all suggest? That is a bit pricey for me.. but if it is the norm, hopefully I can come up with some plan.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
