stacielynntate 88 Posted January 6, 2013 I had some major issues after having my son in 2011. I had the tightness, couldn't eat anything (not even soup) and ended up with horrible acid reflux. My Dr. would take some out and it would feel good so next visit refill and issues came back with only 4cc's in my band (before I got pregnant I could handle up to 7cc's). I had to go in for an upper GI to make sure nothing was blocking, had xrays to check the placement of the band. Mine is a little higher then before. So this past October 2012 we had the talk of removing the band. Well we went with the plan to completely empty my band and give my body a break and start all over just like I just had surgery. I finally went back friday 1/4/13 and we put in 2cc's. So far so good, I'm hoping this little break puts me back on track and I don't have the issues again. I can't afford to have the band removed nor do I want to go thru surgery again. My Dr. thinks my body is only going to be able to handle up to 3cc's in my band but we will see Have you talked to your Dr. about your issues?
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted January 6, 2013 Sounds like a visit to your surgeon might be in order to verify everything is as it should be.
roziecakes 20 Posted January 7, 2013 So I have been a little more tight after having the baby (3months PP), but it hasn't really bothered me. I have just adjusted my diet and habits to fit. I have 2ccs in my band. I think if you're having lots of tightness and can't eat anything, then you should talk to your doctor. Are you having other symptoms as well, PB'ing? Nausea? I'm sorry you're going through this...
Karce2012 1 Posted March 13, 2013 Well I went in about a month ago and he took all of the saline out now I've gained 20lbs since coming back to work but I go back in a couple of days to get some saline back in back to square one. On one note when I got pregnant I did not remove any saline whats so ever and only gained 30lbs with my pregnancy so that was good but my journey is far from over. thank you to all that replied! 1 ErinMarie reacted to this
BubblyBandit 0 Posted July 12, 2013 I am in the same boat as you! I was so tight after baby I couldn't eat a thing so I gained weight! I feel like I'm at square 1 again!
Ceres 26 Posted July 12, 2013 not really, postpartum has been mostly mental for me =/
Heather_8.1.14 65 Posted July 15, 2013 I did and after many visits to the dr and tests galore it turns out my gall bladder was going bad. I would talk to your surgeon, remember, everything in your body is trying to go back to its normal position. Good luck!
Ceres 26 Posted July 15, 2013 i think i may have spoken too soon. i'm not having a good day, been stuck for a while now today. likely caused by humidity, but at this point can't even keep "sliders" or liquids down. called my surgeon to see about an unfill because the heat is supposed to be like this all week. it turns out that he is closing his office and is not doing any in-patient maintenance. good to know. his "refer-to" doc is only taking names and numbers to schedule at a later point. no idea what to do at this point. now i have to find another surgeon, but i'm not sure what to do about the stuck feeling in the meantime.
