well the bump went away, i can have a tuna kit & it leaves me satisfied but then i am hungry like 2hrs later. i called my nutrionioist & gonna meet with her to come up with a better meal plan to suit me. my cal count is under 800 but I'm having trouble getting in all my Protein. my husband is getting me some unflavored Protein Powder to add to meals to boost my protein intake. i can't wait to go swimming again cuz i miss it....

I looked over the month food program and we only have to do 1 week complete mushies. And we get 2 nutrutionalist visits. One at 4-6 weeks after being banded then 3 months. Does the Protein powder add many cals? But to get protein for you is really important especially as your so hungry and dont see your doc until next friday us it? Cos im on wednesday. Its going to be hot for the next couple of days so im going to the supermarket ti get some cottage cheese that someone who is also on 1/2 a cup recomends. Im worried about my foot cos i start work at the bakery on saturday and i cant get a certificate for sore feet. So im going to the chemist to get advice on dressings cos being almost chrissy the next 3 weeks will be frantic and we never sit down at all. Since im very restricted doing walking im doing upper body like standing arm push ups and side leg raises and stuff. Other wise i havent got much planned today, im bad i weigh myself every day and if i put on i know to focus more and if there are changes from the day before that i can make changes today to get that back, like i put on 1 kg and today i lost 0.4kg. So i know what ti change from better use of cals etc.. I think swimming is usally 5-6 weeks, the wounds have to be totally healed. Mention it to your doc and just think soon you will have to go down a size!!!! Good luck with your new eating plan!

yes, the powder does add some calories but worth it considering its full if Protein. also, I'm doing good with cal intake but had to break it down. one of my incisions is bothersome and i walk all that i can.... my paperwork does say 15 days for swimming but i am gonna wait for the Dr to check me. my hunger is subsiding so that's a good thing. so you lost 11 since surgery day? i want to weigh myself but i want to feel surprised when i go for follow up, lol. but i have people asking me have i lost weight, so it must be noticeable.... clothes that didn't fit, fit now & i even have found interest in doing family activities again. that alone makes me happy!!!!

Sounds like you lost a lot of weight!!! Im sick of not going to the loo so when i just went to the supermarket to get cottage cheese. I then went to the chemist and finally got a multi Vitamin, our docs want them to have folate and vit B12. I asked the chic and no joke the first thing she said was us it for pregnancy?!!!!!!!!!! And i also got a fibre drink which will probley add cals and also this special band aid thingie that helps even open blisters to heal faster. And when i got out i could smell roast chicken!!! I inhaled deeply and then thought hiw the hell am i swallow it and more cals to burn off or to add to my day! How many pounds do you have to loose to get to your goal? I think the feeling of looser clothes is always a fantasic way to measure, congrats again on that!!!! Have a good one

my weight loss goal is 100, how about you? I'm worried cuz i have no problem eating, but i do feel fine when I'm done with my half cup. today i had Beans and oh so yummy :-) for dinner, egg salad.... i am looking forward to soft foods and today i gave in and weighed myself. since surgery i have lost 13 pounds, so a total of 24 with pre-op. I'm suppose to lose between 1-2 pounds a week, how about you? my surgeon said he'll know if i try to lie so i can lose faster, lol. I'm actually happy with 1-2 a week. I'm not in any hurry. do u like the wii fit? my hubby is making the extra room into a workout room so that will be nice to look forward too....

My goal is 65kg. Yesterday i wasnt hungry at all so i doubt i would loose any weight from only having coffee, but i think the only differance was yeasterday before lunch i had metamuticil which is fibre drink so maybe it filled me up so im not going to take it for a couple if days. It was weird i went to bed at 2:30am and i still was not hungry. I was waiting to get hungry. I had mini waves of being pekish but they went after about 10 mins. When i see my doc on wednesday about it and how many kilos a week i think its more initally and then it slows down

Yep very common cos the band sits on vagas nerves and as pressure is put on them they squeeze and can make you feel dizzy. Usually the first cos its a new sensation or if they put in too much Fluid. But most of the time once you have a drink of Water you feel better also dont jump off the couch really fast when you have had a fill

that is crazy but i just trust that the Dr knows what he's doing. i wonder if i should take my husband with me to my 1st appt. just as a precaution....

Its nothing to worry about, just like a normal faint, if you did faint they wouldnt let you leave until you felt right. Ive never personally herd of anyone fainting but just light headed that passes. Youll be fine!! I have had to drive myself to all my fills with my last band and no problems at all.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
