So what is your typical day of what to eat. (solid phase) Menu Ideas please. I am just about a little over 2 months out....I am down about 40 pounds!! I am just looking to plan my menu for week so any helpful ideas would be great!!! Thanks.

Typical day of eating is:

Bfast 1 scrambled egg, 1 pc whole wheat toast w/ fugar free jelly, 1 piece bacon

snack 2 oz applesauce or 6 oz V8 juice

lunch 3oz tuna mixed with no fat cesear dressing, 6 wheat thins, 1/2 c salad

Snack if needed sugar free pudding cup or banana

dinner 3 oz broiled fish, 1/2 c veggies, 1/2 baked potato

Snack skinny cow ice cream bar

Todays menu:

Breakfast:

High Fiber Toast w/ reduced sugar strawberry jam and BUTTER (not too much, now)!

Lunch:

salad w/romaine lettuce (~2cups packed loose), feta cheese, no sugar added peaches (with some of the juice from the can), sweet pea sprouts and balsamic vinegar

Asiago cheese bread (2 very thin slices toasted)

Diner:

2 sweet italian sausages w/ marinara sauce

Snacks:

Greek yogurt cup

Almonds

Gotta plan it all out! It's easier to not cheet that way! :-)

Breakfast: greek yogurt

lunch : cup of chili, or salad with left over protien from night before or chicken salad with miraclewhip light and crackers.

Supper: Protien such as steak, chicken, pork chop, walleye etc. veggie or salad sometimes add a starch like potato or rice.

Snacks: greek yogurt or cheese

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
