Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!

Hi Alex,

I LOVED the old smileys we had...and I know others do as well. Could we have them back in addtion to your banana people please? I'm not terribly fond of the banana people, but the other smileys really represented my feelings when posting on this board!

Thanks for considering it!

-Becky

How about a way to see everything you posted or threads you have started without having to go back to the original thread or post. Sometimes I loose track of where I have posted and this would be helpful

Yes, i absolutely agree. What happened to all the smilies. I really don't like the bananas and haven't seen many of them in posts either.

I know that this is a minor thing, but I think it would really be great if the word "forties" could be spelled correctly on that forum. Thank you. :-)

Ditto - Alex you are the best! I can never thank you enough for all the support and love I have received from this site. If it weren't for your Lapbandtalk.com I am confident I wouldn't have made it nearly as far as I have with this band.

 Yipee! The Smiley's are Back!!!!

Thankyou Alex.

Love the clothing exchange idea as well.

Another thing I wish you could do (but have a feeling is not really possible) Is to make it so that when you change your signature line you have the option of not applying it to your old posts. I frequently wish I could go back to an old post of mine or one of my friends and see what our sig line tickers looked like back then.

Alex, this site has been a lifesaver for me. Back when I was banded in '04, I had no access to this type of information. It was Godsend when I came across this site and was able to get my questions and concerns answered. Thanks a million.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
