Msdropinoff 43 Posted November 24, 2012 how long from first consultation to surg? im hoping mine goes fast! any helpful info would be appreciated! im 27/ 40 bmi... After my first appt I had to start a six month class. Every month I got something to read and weighted in. My insurance required it...but each one is different. kazjim98 618 Posted January 12, 2013 Medically supervised weight loss effort documentation, showing participation in a physician supervised nutrition and exercise program.. For me it was seeing my doctor every month, being weighed and discussing with him my exercise and eating habits for the month prior...it all had to be documented in my notes because Tricare needed to see the notes when my 6 months was up. I can't speak for any program like Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig etc and how they work as far as Tricare are concerned because I didn't do those...
