Bruce1965 8 Posted November 23, 2012 This may sound like a stupid question but is consuming a few sugarless chocolates or mints fine and, seeing as the melt in your mouth can you have some during liquid phase? And I do mean a few... 2 or 3!
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 23, 2012 I think I would wait for solid food stage, and watch out on the Sugar Free Chocolate. Some of it is loaded with sorbitol with is a laxative. 1 Bruce1965 reacted to this
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted November 23, 2012 Also sugar free candy is not a low calorie food. Five of them pack a whopping 250 calories. Not to mention the laxative effect. I wouldnt bother they are a waste of calories to me.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted November 24, 2012 I agree the ladies above, I wouldn't risk it. I'm sure physically it won't hurt your healing stomach if you let them dissolve completely, but that is a lot of wasted calories. It would add up really fast. Sojourner 2,446 Posted November 24, 2012 As getting banded is all about changing your lifestyle, in my perspective, that means looking for other Snacks to take the place of those in the last which likely were part of the reason you became obese. As others have mentioned, it is important to become an educated label reader, and understand the ingredients of everything you put in your mouth. I've left "snacking" behind in my other life, along with chocolate. I've had 1 piece of chocolate in 9 months. I don't graze or eat between meals. If i did, to me it would mean that I was engaging in the same behaviors which contributed to my obesity in the first place. I've come too far to turn back. Others mileage may vary... 2 Banjo257 and Maddysgram reacted to this
