I'm new here was banded on November 13, so much good info on here. Just curious about the twenty min rule I hear a few of you comment on. Do we stop eating after twenty min even if we haven't finished our 1/2 cup or 1 cup of food?

Some say you can stretch it to 30 minutes, but yes, stop eating at that point. The stomach empties out after that period and if you continue to eat you are essentially beginning a new meal.

I heard it also takes your stomach 20 mins to let your brain know you're full, so if you keep eating past the 20 mins, you might be in serious pain from over fill.

Someone correct me if this is not true.

So what other tips do you have for a newbie? I don't get my first fill isn't until jan 2nd I'm eating 1/2 cup of mushy Protein and either 1/2 cup of veggies. I was told to consume 64grams of protein a day but no more than 4 oz at a time. Feels like I'm going to be drinking non stop. Hard to get all that protein in when your in mushy stage. I drink my Water pretty well no problems there, I have tried adding protein non flavored whey to Soups and potatoes and things like that not very tasty.

I added chocolate protein mix to Greek yogurt with some Splenda. Got almost half the daily protein in by Breakfast.
