Pebbagirl 131 Posted November 23, 2012 I am pre-op and recently started walking again. I've been doing 1.7 miles in about 45 minutes (slow pace). Today I did 2.0 miles in 50 minutes and now my legs and feet are killing me! Is it simply because I walked a little bit faster? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Pebbagirl 131 Posted November 23, 2012 OMG, Maddysgram! Thank you. Sometimes these virtual conversations seem so far from visiting with people in real life and I just feel invisible. It's nice to hear someone acknowledge my efforts. And I'm proud of myself too. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and Maddysgram reacted to this

wildrose1966 396 Posted November 25, 2012 Congratulations, keep up the good work!!!! Walking uses alot of muscles that we tend not to use when we do other exercises. I go to the gym very regularly, but I don't walk at the gym. When the weather is nice I try to stay outside and walk instead of go to the gym, I am usually sore for a few days, the muscles that I don't use spinning or doing weights or intervals.............. Walking is very good for you and you can do it anywhere, anytime!!!!
