Asking An Embarrassing ???

Recommended Posts

ok, so I wear underwear from the Avenue which are sized like clothes 18/20, 22/24, etc. I wear 22/24 now and they are getting big, since I'm losing I hate to pay Ave's prices for panties when I can go to Walmart and get some but I do not know what size to get, 9, 10, 11, 12 and so on??? Call me dumb I guess.

If I'm correct I believe you would need a 12. When you go to buy them each pack has the sizing chart on the back

Try to get one size bigger because they shrink

no dumb questions

Get one of each. especially if your in between sizes. If one is a bit snug you will fit into it soon. :)

thanks everyone, I'm glad you guys didn't laugh! I was almost ashamed to ask...lol To Krussell19 I too carry all my or most of my weight in my rear and and belly, well most in my rear. I like some crazy people out there are going shopping tonight when Walmart opens (with some girlfriends) and will look at them and see if I can buy just one pair and buy a couple in 2 different sizes. This year for Thanksgiving its just me and my mom and we are going out to eat so tonight I'm having my highlight shopping spree at different places. gona be a long night. lol. Thanks again for all your advice and input.

Donna...I too am bottom heavy....and I was wearing the lane Bryant size 26 when I started. I bought some cheap Walmart panties in 9 and XL at target when I was about 250.... They should work for you.

Happy shopping... I am not getting near Walmart but am heading out at 5 am like an idiot to score some holiday decorations, cards and whatever else I think I must own. Lol

thanks for the info. Oh no, I'm a night owl. I may have to head to nearby Clarksville TN (I live in Hopkinsville KY) about 20 mins drive to get in some really heavy duty shopping tonight, lol. Now if I was really adventurous I'd head to Nashville, I'm only an hr away, ha but I guess I will stay around here. Yes, I'm bottom heavy, legs and hips, little waist. It is slowly getting smaller. I tried on size 24 jeans last night that were in my closet and I can wear them, yay. I was in a 26 and some 28's. Would love to be in your neck of the woods getting some good Grouper right about now! Oh my fav!!! I would def forget turkey for today for fresh grilled Grouper! Take care, Donna

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
