I think everyone is different. I am also at 3cc's and pretty much have zero restriction. I feel I am currently dieting just not to gain. Am sticking to 1200 calories and 1c of food per meal. I know this could take a while and my clinic only does 1cc per fill...............

How many CC's are in your band is irrelevent. Think about your stomach near the top. This is where the band is wrapped around. Everyone's stomach is shaped differently. Every stomach has a different depth of lining and fat surrounding it. Surgeons may place the band higher or lower on your stomach and the shape of your stomach plays a part as to where the band is placed. It's more an art than science. So, if my stomach is thin near the top and I have little fat surrounding my stomach and the lining is thin, it will take many more CC's to close my band than some others. Hope this helps?

I have a 10cc band with 6.5 in it and it was that last fill that did if for me. I am never hungry I eat every 4 hours and track everything to make sure I stay health. If you get hungry b4 4 hours you need a fill good in every 2 wks until the band is helping you

With my 3rd fill and now again at my 4th with 5.8cc's in my 14cc band I am beginning to feel that restriction. Last fill it only lasted a week...hoping this is getting close for me to that sweet spot or green zone.! Finding a lot of foods are too difficult to digest and not feeling hungry now. I am finally beyond bandster hell and looking forward to my slow success!hang in there you too will get there this is not immediate so don't loose your objectives and keep your eye on the prize a healthy lifestyle!

I have 8.5cc in my 14cc band. I'm starting to feel restriction and fullness for the first time. Hoping it lasts for me!

I'm at 7cc in a 10cc band and am perfect! It took 5 fills to get there and over 7 months, but it's all good now. =) I am now just trying to re-learn everything and completely change my habits, not just "diet". It takes time, but I can tell I'm getting there. Good luck!

I stopped trying to find the elusive "green zone" a while ago. My band changes every day. If I had too much salt, if its that time of the month, if I'm dehydrated-any of these this can change how tight or loose I feel. I choose to eat right, journal and drink all my Water and don't waste any energy on finding the perfect fill. I had surgery over two years ago.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
