audreycat123 59 Posted November 20, 2012 So I have been moved on to mushiness and my last two meals have been great while I was eating them, it's not till about ten minutes later that I realized that I had eaten toooo much. I felt so very full. Overfull. Is this delay between eating and feeling full typical? Or is it because I an so new to this?
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted November 20, 2012 You only eat to be satisfied not to get full. Measure your food and only eat a half cup right now until you are used to it.
dee257 1,516 Posted November 20, 2012 Maybe if you eat slower....and I drink a lg glass of Water just before my meals.... Good Luck !
Toddy 758 Posted November 20, 2012 Definitely measure your food and eat slowly. I find that if I'm eating something warm, I'll eat so slowly that it becomes cool and then is not very good anymore so I quit eating.
Mayasgram 351 Posted November 20, 2012 I never knew what satisfied felt like I only knew full and stuffed. So do the 1/2 cup and stop. It doesn't hurt and I too had the experience with food getting cold before I could eat it. I could not believe how little food it took me to get by.
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 21, 2012 Cold food=business as usual with lap band.
AshNZ 42 Posted November 21, 2012 I agree with the 1/2 cup rule! Yesterday I got carried away and thought "I don't feel full, there must still be room". I regretted it around 10 mins later when I was SOO uncomfortable! It's a huge learning process... Definitely gonna take some time for me to get used to such small portions
