Help! I'm Hungry Lol

Recommended Posts

What kind of shakes do you get to drink. I'm on clear liquid and no one said I could have a shake.

I drink premier Protein by cost co. Tastes good actually. I also bought powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury plain and chicken Soup. I'm on full liquids now, I was only on clear for 48 hrs. I have a little bit of Tomato Soup and wet cream of wheat.

My stomach growls a lot, even when I am not hungry. So I figured out that I can't use that as an indicator of whether to eat or I would be eating around the clock. I found that Soups -- even pureed liquified watered down soups -- satisfied me more than juice and shakes and things. It was the "meal" feeling.

You should be on Clear Liquids today. They should have gave you paperwork on what you should be doing. If they didn't call your doctor.

Good! That's what I have!! TIP: you have to dig to find the scoop!! I put it in my soups. Just read heating instructions(stove is best). You can also put it in cold stuff as well! That way you don't have to worry about all them shakes!

I made this shake today! It was sent to me by Dr Snow's nurse. . .it was SO good and HIGH in protein! I did everything by 1/2, because I knew that I would be able to drink all of it!

Cheesecake smoothie

1/2 cup 2% Cottage cheese

1/2 oz Light Cream cheese

1/2 cup Nonfat Milk

2 tsp Stevia

1/2 tsp vanilla Extract

1/4 cup Berries (your choice)

Directions

Blend ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
