Please pray for my family................

Recommended Posts

I just got back from Illinois yesterday. We buried my Aunt who was 47. She lost her 12 year battle with breast cancer. She left behind a 12 year-old son, 2 grown daughters & my Uncle. This had to have been the hardest thing I have ever done. Please keep her family in your thoughts & prayers. Thank you.

Most definitely keeping all in my prayers. I lost a best friend to what started as breast cancer and ended up becoming brain cancer. It is just such a horrible thing for a family to go through. My prayers go out to all of you.

Thanks so much everyone! She was such a special person. She was a truely Enlightened person. She was a nurse & she saw her job as her ministry. She helped so many & touched so many people's lives. I can't believe she's gone.

Awe Jess... death is so hard to overcome! This is the 4th breast cancer related death Ive heard about in a week... so sad.

May Eternal Rest Grant unto her, O Lord. Let Perpetual Light shine upon her. And may she rest in Heavenly peace.

God bless you and your family~

Awww Jessie, I'm so sorry for your family's loss. It sounds as if she was a wonderful lady. Her poor children and husband - how hard it's going to be without her. But it sounds like they have strong family support that will bring them through.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers,

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
