Hey - I am two-weeks post-op. I am occasionally having some bouts of dizziness, if I drink a little OJ or lemonade I am fine, so I think it is a low blood sugar issue (i am not diabetic) but was wondering if anyone else had experienced something similar?

I'm just going to throw this out there.... Dehydration sign? You may want to get a sf Gatorade. Your electrolytes may be low due to postop. I had the same thing and also do not have diabetes but have been dehydrated before ( and ended up in the hospital)

Ask your Dr though if it continues.

My guess would be dehydration as well. Could also be positional blood pressure changes if you are sitting a lot.

I had dizzy spells up to 3 weeks. Take it easy. Drink Water. No oj !

Yes OJ is acidic and may irritate your stomach. Just make sure you get plenty of fluids. As stated above, your dizziness may be related to dehydration.

Thanks all - definitely not dehydrated - live in altitude and drink at least 96oz per day, but will keep an eye out and make sure I get my liquids in! It does seem to be happening less now that I am in soft foods. Thanks for the perspectives - it is great to have this forum!!

also check your blood pressure, if you take meds, they might need to be changed.
