Wow CG, that is a lot of people!

I work for the U.S. Navy as a Public Affairs Officer and cover the southeastern United States, Cuba and other parts of the Caribbean. Mostly internal communication - the media issues get crazy every once in a while though. Lot's of fun!

I work as an A/R Supervisor doing business to business collections. Not the break your kneecaps kind, working with hospitals and doctors and other medical professionals getting them to pay their bills. I absolutely LOVE it because I work with customers in 53 countries, get to practice my Spanish from time to time. I love working with Ministries of Health, the World Health Organization, military facilities, etc.

It's funny because my company accredits hospitals and medical facilities all over the world and most U.S. hospitals use us. So when I go to the hospital or urgent care, etc. they take my insurance info and ask where I work, as soon as they see that they get very nervous... Little do they know I am in finance so I wouldn't know the first thing about whether they are following the standards. They make sure they take really good care of me!

:)

I work for an asset mgmt firm running the shareholder servicing team. We manage our company Pension & 401k & manage $ for others, including mutual funds. My team services the mutual fund shareholders. Been w/ my company my whole career! Have had many different roles, though.

CG - I was a compliance officer for 5 yrs before I took this job (for the same firm). Only left because I was asked to take the job I have currently.

I am a high school English teacher. Yes, I cram Shakespeare and prepositions down the throats of grumpy teenagers all day, and I love it!

I have had what seems like a million jobs, I was in the Air Force for a few years, but I don't think I will ever have another. I found what I am good at and I'm sticking to it.

At present I am a household technician, meaning housewife. In the past, when you still used a pencil and an appt book I worked for 3 OB-GYN's. Also worked in Geriatrics. I went from new to old.

Now I'm old and retired. But not so old that I don't ride my own Harley & drive a fast car.lol My grandson thinks I'm the coolest!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
