With co-morbity factors like diabetes, High blood pressure, PCOS you may qualify depending on your insurance. The lowest Is generally BMI of 35 and yours is 35.7. On the other hand, there are many who had the surgery with lower BMIs. Talk to your GP and see if he thinks you would benefit.

If you are paying out of pocket, you are more then qualified ...I'm 5'2 and was 191lbs when I had my surgery.....but through insurance, it's a different story...they have lots of rules...

I would first call to see If your insurance covers banding. If so ask them what their standards are. If they don't and you choose to be self pay or you want to see if your doctor can help you can discuss it with him

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
