MiniMi 1,468 Posted November 18, 2012 Hello! Anyone interested in running/walking a 10k virtually? I need the motivation so I was planning a 10k on December 15 or 16th. We all walk/run 10k (6.2 miles) on either the 15th or 16th of December and we post our stats here. You can run it in the gym/home on a treadmill or on the streets. You can map out your course ahead of time using runkeeper.com if you decide to take your bad @?s to the streets. Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs 1 ♥LovetheNewMe♥ reacted to this

MiniMi 1,468 Posted November 18, 2012 I'm in!! Don't know if I can do that much in one go but going to give it my best shot. One month to train and you can break it up to three miles each if you must but.... Check out Jeff Galloway's walk/run plans. He is really amazing for injury free running. Ladybandito 516 Posted December 9, 2012 OK, I'm in. Since I've nevery walked/run any type of K, what do we keep track of and post when we're done?
MiniMi 1,468 Posted December 9, 2012 OK' date=' I'm in. Since I've nevery walked/run any type of K, what do we keep track of and post when we're done?[/quote'] Next weekend. Keep track of mileage and time. Post here when you are done. You can map out the route you will take to get to the 10k on mapmyrun.com. You can also use apps on your smart phone like runkeeper or Nike. You can also split the 10k into 2 parts if you can't do the 10 altogether! 1 ♥LovetheNewMe♥ reacted to this
