YankeeChick75 11 Posted November 17, 2012 I have been drinking a lot of coffee (caffiene), I wonder if that has something to do with it? Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using LapBandTalk

this sucks 557 Posted November 17, 2012 If you had a vomiting incident, you should go back to liquids for a day or so. coffee doesn't have anything to do with it. When you vomited, your band probably is swollen and you need to give it a rest for a few days.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted November 17, 2012 Vomiting is never normal, and never good, when you have a Lap Band. Is it possible you have a stomach bug? Go back to liquids for a day or two to let your stomach rest. If it continues, call your doctor immediately. 2 colleeb and Toddy reacted to this
YankeeChick75 11 Posted November 17, 2012 I actually had a cup of hot tea and a bottle of Water and the discomfort has subsided. I will certainly stick to the liquids for the next day or so. Strong possibility I am dehydrated. Thanks!! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using LapBandTalk
YankeeChick75 11 Posted November 30, 2012 Here's an update on my progress. Afyer my little situation 2 weeks ago, I didn't feel 100%. Almost like I was fighting the flu or something. Last Friday, I started getting SEVERE abdominal cramping and discomfort. After many nights of interrupted sleep and pain, I called my surgeon, he saw me at his office and sent me to the hospital. They ran a series of tests to determine I have Gallstones! Pending surgery if the pain doesn't go away by Monday. I'm not going to let this get me down! This is just a "hiccup" in the road! me4me 4 Posted November 30, 2012 I had to have my gallbladder removed a few years ago and refused to have the surgery until after final exams. I found that if I kept to very low fat items (which should be good for the band also), I rarely got a flare of pain and if I did it was minor and shortlived. I also found my body responded differently to different fats. Olive oil was fine but anything fried, oily sauces, cheese lead to pain. Hopefully you can manage it without surgery. Hope you're feeling better soon!
honk 780 Posted November 30, 2012 I waited about 3 months to get my gallbladder out (spring break). I agree cut out all fats and I mean all.
