vanessa1215 35 Posted November 16, 2012 This has been a God send for me today... Day 4 post op. Seems to calm my belly from rumbling and is also soothing compared to Water or anything cold. Maybe this will help someone else out in their post op process... Sure would have loved this info on day 2 an 3 ;p 2 jaereynoso and oklafarmgal reacted to this

cheryl2586 3,053 Posted November 16, 2012 Even better is warm some apple juice and fruit punch then put in a tea bag and let steep. Gets rid of gas well. 2 kristlynngirl and vanessa1215 reacted to this
SueBee01 630 Posted November 16, 2012 Try adding a little sf Creamer to your hot tea! It is awesome. Filling and no calories. I use Decaf Earl Grey. 1 vanessa1215 reacted to this

CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 16, 2012 Careful with tea... caffeine can dehydrate you. Try Decaf ginger tea too! 1 vanessa1215 reacted to this

I am scared I was on the verge of dehydration That was a good thing about tea too, you can get 8oz down pretty easy. I like Earl Gray, but drink Chai tea most the time. Reminds me of Christmas.lol
Pebbagirl 131 Posted November 17, 2012 Vanessa I'm 2 weeks from surgery and getting antsy about what I'll drink. This is very helpful. 1 vanessa1215 reacted to this
vanessa1215 35 Posted November 17, 2012 Although tea is a natural diuretic, it was a God send today! I feel like a new person! With 5 kids, I can't be lethargic or "down and out" too long I will take my blessings, however small they may be, and count them 1 by 1... And today that blessing was in the form of TEA!! Lol
shrinkingcassie 37 Posted November 17, 2012 Thanks for the tip. I'm 2 1/2 weeks pre-op. I will remember this! 1 vanessa1215 reacted to this
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted November 17, 2012 The Chai tea I drink is decaffeinated . You do want to watch that right after surgery. 1 vanessa1215 reacted to this
SueBee01 630 Posted November 18, 2012 You need to watch the caffeine all the time. It dehydrates you so you have to drink extra Water if you drink any type of caffeine. That is why I stay away from caffeine all together. I only drink Decaf tea. 1 Maddysgram reacted to this

SueBee01 630 Posted November 18, 2012 It is still good if you let it cool off! Sometimes you just need a different flavor!
