CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 15, 2012 Yep, same problem. I finally had mine re-sized, just 8 lbs from goal. It is an AMAZING NSV, but re-sizing is expensive right now, especially for gold. I used ring sizes for a long while and highly recommend them. They don't have to be jewelry store quality to work. It is just temporary. As someone said... yarn works too! meyouus 415 Posted November 15, 2012 If the jeweler resizes a gold ring, down...would they "cut out" the excess gold? And if they did wouldn't it cost less? What do they do with the excess gold? Profit? OR Do they just maneuver the gold ring down to size?
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted November 15, 2012 Yeah' date=' my engagement ring and another one keep rotating to under my finger and I'm constantly repositioning it. Especially when it's cold out and my fingers shrink a little. Hey Maddysgram, you said your jeweler put your ring sizer on, is that one permanent?[/quote'] I would say its semi permanent. They've been on my rings for 20+ yrs, but if I wanted you can unbend the prongs that hold it on and remove it. Mine also are connected to wedding & engagement ring together, so they're all one piece. I think jeweler charged me
