People From Canada I Have A Question/request (Out Of Topic)

Recommended Posts

Hello people from Canada. Sorry that I use ths forum to ask this, but I just did not know where else to go to. This is way out of topic so I hope you don't mind. I heard that McDonalds in Canada now are selling McDonlads Homebrew coffee ( it supposely started Nov.5th). Is this true? and if so would one of you be willing to buy a package for me ( of course you would be reinbursed for it) and mail it to me, No this is not a coffee addict going cookoo! This is me wanting to have a great Christmas present for my mother which she just absolutely loves their coffee ( you have no idea how happy this will make her) so I want a bag of their home brew as a little extra thing as part of her gift. If anyone could answer me or help me out I would be eternally greatful. If you know how I can get it on-line even better, but I have looked around with no luck =( Thanks!!

-Nayelli

Nayelli, yes you are right ONLY in Canada at participating McDonald's are they selling McCafe Premium Roast Ground coffee to take home. $6.99 for the bag and it says they are in 'fancy bags. They will be sold in the US down the road, but as of right now Canada only has it. I wish you the best of luck!!!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
