Domika03 309 Posted November 13, 2012 Hi guys, So, I'm eating my 1st veggie burger. It's OK, nothing to write home about. I'm finding it kinda dry & slow to go down. Kinda feeling it kinda/sorta sticking there on top of my tummy. ot sure if it's because of my 3rd fill, or because it really IS dry. The only thing I had at work to add on top of it to make it softer / mushier was a deviled egg. Any suggestions on what else to put on top of this thing? thanks Fran

CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted November 13, 2012 I think avocado would be great! Also sour cream or plain yogurt. 1 Domika03 reacted to this
A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted November 13, 2012 Trash as you you bury it in the kitchen sack! J/k - sorry, I don't care for veggie burgers! Guessing salsa or guac would be ok though to help disguise it. 3 Ric, Domika03 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted November 13, 2012 Btw, there are several different brands of veggie burgers and not all are created equal. My kids didn't care for many of the frozen ones but they really like the refrigerated ones I got at costco and most recently some black bean burgers. 1 Domika03 reacted to this

hely88 883 Posted November 13, 2012 i like the boca chicken patties and i agree with trying different ones. Trader joe's usually has a selection. The morningstar crumbles are great in chilli or Soup.< /p>

What do you add to those? I've got a costco close by so I may give those a whirl...
Domika03 309 Posted November 14, 2012 Thanks for the ideas everyone! Next time, I'll be more prepared. I wound up only eating 1/2 of it.
A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted November 14, 2012 Any of the veggie burgers you can top like you would a regular burger. Good luck, hope you find some you like. At costco the black bean burgers are frozen but the refrigerated veggie burgers are the ones my kids seem to enjoy most and my sister started them on them.
