legallyKristin 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Just be careful with Meridia, if you are on any Seritonin Uptake-Inhibitors (i.e. Effexor XR) it can cause an OPPOSITE effect because it works on the same neural transmittors. It made me EAT anything I could find. I ended up gaining 5 lbs in the 2 weeks I took it. Kristin
lyndalafe 1 Posted April 10, 2006 Due to the fact everytime I get a fill that gives me good restriction, I start having acid reflux; I'm having to deal with less fill, therefore, more food and less full feeling, so getting a prescription to take the edge off the hunger. I've taken it many times in my lifetime. I was one of those that loved the phen/phen and did great with it until it got pulled off the market. It was the only thing that ever took away my desire for sweets.
Elisabethsew 50 Posted April 10, 2006 I would caution anyone contemplating phentermine to read ALL of the side-effects. It is NOT for anyone with high blood pressure or cardiac arrhythmias. Also, this drug interacts with many others so make sure you carefully evaluate adding this medication to your regime. It's best to talk with your MD and pharmacist.
