Another Florida girl who loves her seafood, grouper, mahi, shrimp & scallops my favorite.

Love all vegetables. Since banding Black Beans in everything. Keylime Greek yogurt, cottage cheese.

I think it would be easier to tell you what I don't like, if I can think of something. Salmon, I don't like salmon!

How do you guys cook your shrimp & scallops?

I'm on a big salad kick lately. 95% fat free ham' date=' cubed low fat cheese, chic peas, pine nuts, and sunflower seed hearts with fat free ranch. I absolutely love it.

I'm also on a Peanut Butter kick. I have a tablespoon of it for a little snack sometimes.[/quote']

Mis - have you ever tried Justin's Nut Butter? They make a maple almond butter that's fantastic! They sell it by jar & by packet - good for portion control!! Very yummy!

Domika - I love Gorton's frozen salmon fillets. Really good Portion Control.< /p>

I agree w/ Floridays that fish is so good!!

I just found cubes sweet potatoes in portion control bags at BJ's. haven't tried then yet but will let you know if they're worth it!

Find them on the cracker isle 300 calories for the whole box. I usually have about 30 of them. About 100 calories.

My favorites: Ahi tuna with seaweed salad. one tablespoon of Peanut Butter and a small banana. On a real peanut butter kick lately, and I love my oatmeal cooked with egg whites, fresh blue berries and 2 pecan halves.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
